STAR Senior Center “the star of Washington Heights” offers a variety of activities as listed below. Experienced, bilingual case workers thoroughly assess each member’s situation and problems, then work with the senior to devise a practical plan to meet all her health and human service needs. Our case workers help elderly residents to apply for a range of public benefits including Social Security, Supplemental Security Income, food stamps, senior housing, assistance in paying rent, legal aid, and help with immigration. To get more information about our available programs and services you can contact our Program Coordinator at 212-781-8331.
